Many landlords are being impacted by operator givebacks globally and are faced with the question ‘Is it still viable to operate the space?’

Once the landlord has decided to continue operating the space, there are a number of priorities that need to be considered – security, staffing, compliance but most importantly connectivity.

The keys to connectivity

It is vital to continue to provide internet connectivity to your tenants. To do this, you must have an understanding of the IT equipment in place and ensure that it remains untouched.

There is lots to consider here, such as the contract status with your current ISP, the make and model of the network equipment and who owns it, the types of digital services your occupiers use – WiFi, ethernet, voice, public IP addresses, and so on.

We provide some of the key questions to answer in our eBook. Discover and document responses to these questions so that you know where you stand with the current connectivity setup. If you’re unable to find out some of this key information, then we can help by providing a survey.

Keep the circuit provider

For ease and to prevent disruption to your tenants, it would be best to continue the relationship with the current circuit provider.

Tip: Reach out to them and see if they are willing to continue to deliver services on a month-to-month basis.

If the hardware and connectivity are secured, you have bought yourself some time and customer goodwill.

If it’s not so simple

However, should the connectivity be jeopardized, whether due to non-payment or other reasons, obtaining some form of connectivity becomes imperative without delay. Additionally, in the event that the hardware is at risk and facing removal, essensys holds immediate stock and can assist.

How essensys can help

We make it easy to prevent disruptions of service. Our experienced teams can be available immediately to help you gather essential information, assess your situation and devise a plan to maintain your connectivity, even if it’s a temporary solution.
