FlexOffice: Where All Things Office Meet CRE
The Global Workspace Association (GWA) and the Commercial Real Estate Development Association (NAIOP) are at it again. The 2018 FlexOffice conference is heading South this year to Austin, Texas this September (12-14) attracting the owners, operators, and developers of office space.
The unfortunate events of Hurricane Maria may have diverted the GWA annual conference from Miami last year, but the silver lining was ending up in the right place at the right time to partner with NAIOP for the Office Evolution conference in New York, the office capital of the world.
The GWA is a valuable resource for owners and operators of coworking and flexible workspaces. The collaboration with NAIOP is a match made in heaven for all workspace, office and CRE stakeholders. This year marks the fourth consecutive year essensys is supporting the association as a top-tier sponsor.
Day 1: Warming up with Pre-Conference Sessions
Before all the juicy content starts on the 13th, the GWA and NAIOP are offering best-in-class industry education during pre-conference sessions on Wednesday, highlighting the Secrets to Successful Coworking Partnerships. Don’t miss the conference kick-off networking happy hour that evening where you can meet your next business partner.
Day 2: A Focus on all things Flexible
FlexOffice event caters to office stakeholders across the board looking to improve their business operation, grow their network and make connections that can open doors in new sectors. In between keynotes and lunches, this year’s breakout sessions promise a variety of topics underpinned by a common theme: flexible office space.
Unique to this year’s agenda is a new term: PropTech. Antony Slumbers, the Day 2 keynote speaker and property thought-leader, presents a look at the changing nature of work and technology megatrends within the context of CRE and occupier expectations. With a background in commercial real estate, mixed-use properties and technology, Slumbers highlights future CRE business models, the role of the landlord, better utilization, and customer experience. Don’t miss his keynote to get the gears turning before the breakout sessions.
In the morning breakouts, attendees can choose from Flexible Workspace ROI and Transit-oriented Development. In the afternoon, choices are abundant with Attracting Enterprise Occupiers, Yoga for Buildings, Coworking Myth Busters, Hospitality and the Workspace, and WELL Buildings. The breakout sessions represent the hottest topics popping up in our dynamic workspace industry which, while attainable, require guidance and proper execution to get it right. The FlexOffice contributors will offer attendees a strong footing to approach these conundrums in their own businesses.
Day 3: Sessions to Strengthen your Portfolio and Operation
Surely the music scene in Austin will have attendees buzzing into the morning hours. Friday’s breakout sessions will keep everyone dancing to the tunes of Your Building Portfolio as an Ecosystem, Flex Office Sales Training, Flex Office Financing and Smart CRE.
