Their latest Infobrief, sponsored by essensys and in collaboration with the Global Workspace Association, take a holistic view of the evolving flexible office market.
Mick Heys, VP of Future of Work and Imaging at IDC, and his team spoke with senior leaders of some of the world’s leading workspace brands to dissect the evolution and main trends that impact the market.
Multi-site flexible workspace operators, landlords and real estate managers discussed implementing flexibility across their assets and the operational challenges they face. The participants manage a combined portfolio of 400 offices and 6 billion square feet of space globally.
Among other interesting conclusions, the respondents broadly discussed the inherent complexity of managing a flexible office business model while aligning to the constantly changing requirements of today’s occupiers.
Michael Caracciolo, Senior Director of Tishman Speyer’s flexible proposition Studio, comments: “discussions with large companies have evolved. They used to start with ‘can I get a flexible space from you?’ and have now changed to ‘can I get everything from you?’”.
